Job summary

Staffmark in Valencia, CA is seeking a Skilled Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to produce precision components per engineering drawings.

You will verify setups, inspect parts with precision measuring tools, troubleshoot issues, and maintain tooling and machines while adhering to safety and quality procedures. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, machining certificate, or CNC programming education preferred.
• Experience operating, setting up, or programming CNC machine tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
• Understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and material properties.
• Strong attention to detail, mathematical ability, and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and/or conventional machining equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Make machine offsets and adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
• Identify and resolve equipment, tooling, and machining issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
