Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Rancho Cucamonga, CA seeks an operator to run CNC machinery and produce metallic parts to customer specifications. You will set up, inspect, and operate equipment safely, maintaining an organized workstation and following procedures.

You will read production schedules, measure and mark dimensions, align fixtures and tools, and adjust machine settings for speed, feed, coolant, depth, and angle. Precision and timely reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related training is a plus.
• At least 1 year of related experience or training.
• Must be a U.S. person per ITAR and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery to produce metallic parts to customer specifications.
• Conduct pre-operations inspections to ensure safe machine readiness.
• Read and execute daily production schedules as directed by supervisor.
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials.
• Calculate and set controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth/angle of cut.
• Monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions, and adjust controls as needed.
• Verify conformance of finished parts to specifications and stop production if out of tolerance.
• Produce daily production reports and other supervisor-directed documents.
• Maintain a safe, organized workstation and follow company policies.
