Job summary

Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed in Travelers Rest, SC is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines and to edit CNC programs. The role requires precise interpretation of blueprints and strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

You will review orders, secure fixtures and tools, perform in-process inspections, and maintain thorough records. Experience with Doosan, Haas, Hardinge, Captain, and LB4000 is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• In-depth knowledge of CNC set-up and operation.
• Knowledge of advanced machining techniques.
• Experience programming/operating Multus is required.
• Knowledge of Doosan, Haas, Hardinge, Captain, LB4000 desired.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and production schedules.
• Experience with CNC metal fabrication machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and review customer order instructions and blueprint specifications.
• Secure materials, fixtures, tools, gauges, etc. for the job.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, making adjustments as needed.
• Perform inspections (visual, optical, micrometer, verniers, indicator).
• Process parts, including samples.
• Use hand and power tools common to the trade.
• Maintain records and logs of processes, materials and results.
• Ensure tools and machines are kept clean and in good condition.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
