Pol-Tech Machining in Woodruff, SC seeks a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our precision shop. You will set up, operate and optimize CNC machines to produce high‑quality parts, and contribute to a culture of craftsmanship.

Proficiency in G‑code programming and Mastercam, ability to read blueprints and GD&T, and experience with Swiss lathe or multi‑axis milling are highly valued in a fast‑paced environment focused on accuracy and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist and/or CNC Programmer in a precision machining environment.
• Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software (Mastercam).
• Expertise in Swiss Lathe, EDM (or willingness to learn), and/or multi-axis milling (3, 3+2, full 5).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T callouts.
• Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centres.
• Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling, and material properties.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to tight tolerances and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision machined components.
• Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and CAM software.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make program or tooling adjustments as needed.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding equipment for each job.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop standards.
