Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical CNC training preferred.
• Proficiency in G-code and M-code with CNC programming experience.
• Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T, interpret specs and tolerances.
• Familiarity with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360) recommended.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and dimensional inspection.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
• Develop and modify CNC programs using G-code, M-code, CAM software as required.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Select cutting tools, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for production.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and fixture adjustments during setups.
• Produce first-article parts and conduct in-process inspections for dimensional accuracy.
• Use precision measurement instruments to verify tolerances and surface finishes.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, program errors, and machine malfunctions.
• Optimize processes to improve cycle times, tool life, and material utilization.
• Follow quality procedures, safety requirements, and production schedules.
• Document program revisions and inspection results; maintain clean workspace.
