Job summary

Gleason is seeking skilled Machinists for 2nd shift to set up and operate conventional and CNC machines, producing precision parts per strict tolerances. The role demands blueprint literacy, careful setup, and accurate measurement using metrology tools.

Experienced machinists will handle complex tasks, edit CNC programs, and mentor Level I–IV operators. Opportunities span basic to advanced machining and on-the-floor training.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, program readouts, and technical directives to determine materials and tools.
• Set up basic machine tools and follow dimensional layouts from blueprints.
• Verify finished parts meet defined tolerances and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional or CNC machine tools to produce precision parts and/or instruments.
• Verify product by inspection of precision parts to meet defined print specifications.
• Provide training to Machinist Level I–IV on machining processes and problem solving.
