Job summary

IDEAL ELECTRIC COMPANY in Mansfield, Ohio is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes, read drawings, and produce precision parts for critical electric machines. You’ll join a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement.

The role requires at least 3 years of CNC experience, ability to read blueprints, and familiarity with tool offsets and G/M-codes.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience setting up and operating CNC machines, including manual machines.
Verifiable, relevant training received from an accredited training program is preferred.
Experience setting tool offsets.
Ability to understand G-codes and M-codes.
Comprehension of blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate all machines and equipment used in the Machining Department, including CNC and manual mills and lathes.
Work from instructions, shop orders, drawings, charts, tables, and specifications.
Measure work pieces for quality assurance using gauges and micrometers.
Maintain tooling and set up proper tooling for bearing construction.
Comply with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced team environment.
