Job summary

Gwynedd Manufacturing, a defense contractor, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, program, and run 4- and 5-axis machines on the shop floor. You will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production to ensure high-precision components meet specifications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC experience, strong problem-solving skills, and can read complex drawings with GD&T. High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
• Experience setting up and operating 4- or 5-axis CNC machines.
• Experience with CNC programming, editing, or program optimization.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision components from drawings and specs.
• Program and modify CNC programs to support production and improve processes.
• Work with 4- and 5-axis machinery including tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, GD&T and other technical docs.
• Inspect parts with precision measurement equipment to ensure tolerances.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to drive process improvements.
• Support development of machining processes, work instructions, tooling, and production methods.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
• Follow safety, quality, and SOP requirements.
