Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for our Mocksville, NC site. This full-time, onsite role supports assembly of our products, ensuring parts fit and meet strict tolerances.

You will read blueprints, operate mills/lathes, and monitor CNC processes while maintaining quality and safety standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of CNC machining experience, with a shift on 3rd (11 PM–7 AM).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of CNC machining experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and operation instructions
• Ability to convert measurements and perform basic calculations

Responsibilities

• Uses blueprints, sketches, drawings, and/or job instruction sheets to produce dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece and setup requirements.
• Cuts tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, machining centers, drill presses, and drill machines.
• Enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit control information for CNC machines.
• Sets up, operates, and monitors machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Utilizes measurement tools to evaluate finished parts against specifications.
• Reworks parts that don't meet specifications.
• Confers with supervisor, engineers, and production personnel to resolve machining problems.
• Follows ISO procedures and safety rules, including PPE and hoist inspections.
• Updates work orders, production sheets, and quality records.
• Maintains 5S standards and participates in continuous improvement efforts.
