Trace-A-Matic in Brookfield, WI is seeking a full-time CNC Operator for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm–1:30 am). You will set up and run CNC machines, dial in offsets, read prints, and apply GD&T to ensure parts meet specs.

You’ll work in a climate-controlled, safety-focused shop, mentor peers, stage next setups, and contribute to a 50/50 gainsharing culture with quarterly bonuses and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining experience.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
• Strong math abilities and mechanical aptitude.
• High school diploma required; CNC diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment and adjust offsets to meet prints and quality requirements.
• Execute repetitive machining tasks with consistent technique and accuracy.
• Read/interpret blueprints and apply inspection protocols with proper documentation.
• Assist with machine setups alongside experienced machinists.
• Mentor operators on repeatable tasks to build skill and process consistency.

A day in the life at Trace-A-MaticWhen your 2nd shift begins at 3:00 pm in Brookfield, WI, you review setup sheets, verify tooling, and dial in offsets so every component hits spec. You move confidently between machines within a production cell, monitor cycle times, and perform in-process checks with precision hand metrology. You read prints, apply GD&T, make measured G/M-code adjustments, and keep clear documentation. Along the way, you coach fellow operators on repeatable routines and help stage the next setup with guidance from senior machinists.
