Job summary

Staff Management | SMX is seeking an experienced CNC Machining Operator for a temp-to-hire role in White, GA. The position offers a pay rate of $21-$25 per hour and a Monday-Thursday 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM shift, with overtime split Friday.

You will analyze orders, work with blueprints, program, monitor tooling and machines, and ensure quality. A strong mechanical background and experience in metal manufacturing are required, with full-time employment and benefits available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in metal manufacturing.
• Strong background in mechanical operations with metal parts.
• Experience with laser and machining programming software.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Analyze job orders and drawings to determine tool selection and machining parameters.
• Ensure material optimization and schedule attainment to meet production goals.
• Check accuracy by comparing prints with specs and blueprints.
• Operate and maintain CNC machines; load/unload parts and monitor quality.
• Collaborate with engineering and management to clarify program intent.
