Staff Management | SMX is hiring experienced CNC Operators for a leading Metal Fabrication Company in Salem, IN. This long-term role offers weekly paychecks, day-one medical and dental benefits, and a punctual attendance policy during the initial period.

Positions include 2nd and 3rd shifts with opportunities for temp-to-hire and long-term employment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prior CNC operator experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Start and stop equipment to run production.
• Identify product and shop orders to ensure proper jobs are being ran.
• Report scrap and labor information using written and electronic data collection devices.
• Select correct containerization for parts being produced.
• Participate in problem solving activities.
• Adjust equipment to meet part specifications per process sheets and maintain within control limits.
• Perform TPM and prepare equipment for preventative maintenance.

Pay Rate: $19.55 - $20.15 / hour

Duties:

• Start and stop equipment to run production.

• Identify product and shop orders to ensure proper jobs are being ran.

• Properly report scrap and labor information using written, as well as electronic data collection devices.

• Select correct containerization for parts being produced.

• Participate in problem solving activities.

• Adjust equipment to obtain part specification per process sheets and maintain within control limits.

• Perform TPM and prepare equipment for preventative maintenance.

Position Requirements:

• Position requires high school diploma or GED.

• Prior experience as a CNC operator is required.

• Ability to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions.

• Basic math skills Perform all inspection functions per written procedure.

• Identify product to ensure proper jobs being ran.

• Collaborate with team members and Team Leads to identify improvements.

• Ability to work every other weekend and overtime as needed.

• Must consent to taking BG/DT.

• 6 months manufacturing or warehouse experience required

Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Stand for Shift Duration, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 50 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.
