Job summary

Ichor Systems in Osakis, MN is hiring a Machine Operator to start and observe machine operations, inspect parts to blueprints, and adjust controls as needed. The role requires basic to advanced machining skills and precise measurement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent; 2-year machining degree preferred.
• Ability to operate vertical/horizontal mills, lathes or Swiss machines.
• Familiar with measuring tools and GD&T fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Reads blueprints and specs to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, tools, and materials on CNC machines.
• Installs tooling and verifies tool offsets as required.
• Measures finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and depth micrometers.
• Communicates process issues to supervisor and completes required paperwork.
