Rotating Machinery Services (RMS Inc.) is seeking an Associate CNC Lathe/VTL Machinist to join the Pearland Works team in Pearland, TX. The role involves turning, boring, drilling, and threading with tight tolerances across multiple industries while ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.

The ideal candidate reads drawings, understands G-code, and is familiar with Fanuc controls. A high school diploma or technical training plus basic hand tools and measurement equipment is required.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Capable of reading calibrated measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Basic machining knowledge in turning, milling, drilling, threading.
• Ethical conduct and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Work in a shop environment for about 8 hours per day.
• Operate small lifts, pallet jacks and related equipment.
• Read blueprints and follow procedures to produce parts.
• Read drawings and apply G-code instructions.
• Maintain measuring devices and ensure accuracy.
• Uphold safety directives and company standards.
