Job summary

ManpowerGroup is assisting a precision fabrication client in Fresno, CA to hire a Laser Operator who will set up and operate CNC fiber laser cutting equipment to produce parts from engineering drawings and work orders. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of CNC laser experience in sheet metal manufacturing, can read blueprints and fabrication layouts, and pays close attention to tolerances and safety.

Qualifications

2-3 years CNC laser experience in sheet metal manufacturing.
Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
Familiarity with sheet metal materials, sizes and thicknesses.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and safety-mindedness.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC fiber laser cutting equipment to produce parts per drawings and work orders.
Review drawings and work orders to determine material requirements, locations, dimensions, tolerances.
Load and position sheet metal onto the laser machine and ensure correct setup before production begins.
Monitor machine operations to ensure proper function during the run.
Measure completed parts and finish as required, removing tabs and burrs.
