Job summary

Caliberr Staffing is seeking a dedicated Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team in Byron Township, MI. You will run CNC laser cutting equipment to produce metal components per project specs, ensuring smooth production flow and adherence to safety protocols.

You will read blueprints, monitor cycles, perform minor adjustments, measure parts with calipers and tape measures, and log outputs. The role requires physical effort, steady concentration, and teamwork to maintain quality and on-time

Qualifications

• Experience operating laser machinery.
• Able to prepare and run laser equipment.
• Familiar with precision measurement tools.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally 40 lbs.
• Able to sit or stand for extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage CNC laser cutting machinery to manufacture metal components per project requirements.
• Load and unload raw sheet metal into the equipment to maintain production flow.
• Interpret technical blueprints, production schematics, and work instructions.
• Oversee the laser during active cycles and perform minor adjustments.
• Verify quality using tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools.
• Report equipment malfunctions or quality discrepancies to leadership.
• Prepare parts for subsequent production phases by sorting, labeling, and arranging them.
• Maintain accurate production logs documenting output totals and scrap rates.
