Faxon Machining is seeking a skilled CNC Large Lathe Machinist for 1st shift in Cincinnati, OH. The role requires setting up and operating large CNC lathes, reading blueprints, and maintaining tight tolerances while working with minimal supervision.

You will use SolidWorks and Mastercam to develop and edit programs, support process improvements, and ensure safety and quality on every part. A strong team mindset and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC lathe machining experience preferred.
• Experience with large diameter turning strongly preferred.
• Experience machining steel, stainless, alloys, and cast materials.
• Solid CAM techniques background.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and Mastercam.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large CNC lathes to machine precision components.
• Create setup sheets with tooling and work-holding details.
• Create programs for CNC milling and turning centers.
• Read blueprints and CAD models to support program development.
• Use Mastercam to produce programs.
• Monitor machine cycles and inspect parts to tight tolerances (±0.0001).
• Maintain safe, organized work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Communicate status and needs to team and provide process input.
