Job summary

G.A. Richards Group in Norton Shores, MI is seeking a Quality Technician to operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine for PPAP and capability studies, and to maintain the Calibration Program. The role supports internal and customer requests and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.

You will perform statistical calculations, handle CAD data, and assist in quality improvements within the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Intermediate Windows-based software skills.
• Must be able to stand and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine with expertise and reasonable speed.
• Understand software in use for statistical studies and CAD data.
• Prepare statistical calculations and reports.
• Understand and improve the Calibration Program.
• Maintain the Calibration Program to keep calibrations up-to-date.
• Perform minor in-house calibration scheduling for timely calibration.
• Perform capability studies & Gage R&R.
• Perform a Layered Process Audit.
• Assist with problem solving and other functions in the Quality Department.
