Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Dimensional Inspector/CMM Programmer to join the Fabrication Quality team on a 4x10 schedule, onsite at Materials Fuel Complex with every Friday off. You will perform precision dimensional inspections with Zeiss CMM equipment, interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5, and document results per QA procedures.

You'll mentor junior inspectors, participate in training, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining certifications and DOE L clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Level 4/5 high school or equivalent with 6+ years of related inspection experience.
• Experience with Zeiss CMM, Calypso, and granite plate setups.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and multiple CMM platforms.
• Ability to obtain DOE L clearance.
• ASME Y14.5 GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision dimensional inspections using Zeiss CMM equipment and manual tools.
• Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to verify drawings and tolerances.
• Review materials and equipment against specs and document results.
• Interface with engineers to communicate results and drive improvements.
• Maintain certifications and pursue professional development.
