Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a Laboratory Technician/Technologist to perform accurate testing that supports patient diagnosis and treatment. The role will process specimens, conduct laboratory tests, maintain equipment, and ensure reliable results.

The position requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field, plus applicable certification. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and regulatory standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in MLS/CLS or related field.
• Certification such as MLT/MT/MLS or equivalent per state requirements.
• Clinical laboratory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, quality control, and safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, identify, and prepare patient specimens for testing.
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests according to established procedures.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Analyze and verify test results for accuracy.
• Perform quality control procedures and document results.
• Identify and report abnormal or critical results as required.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Monitor inventory and ensure adequate laboratory supplies.
• Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals.
