Job summary

Franklin Precision Castings, a precision investment casting foundry, seeks a detail-oriented Sales Estimator to prepare cost estimates and quotations for RFQs and new business opportunities. You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and other departments to develop competitive pricing for our high-quality castings.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specs, calculating material and processing costs, and maintaining estimating records.

Qualifications

Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical information.
Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
CAD software experience is a plus.
Previous estimating, sales support, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience in investment casting or foundry operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, and requirements.
Prepare accurate cost estimates and customer quotations.
Determine material, labor, tooling, processing, and outside service costs.
Obtain pricing and technical information from internal departments and suppliers.
Maintain estimating records and pricing information.
Assist Sales with pricing questions and quotation follow-up.
Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
