Job summary

Silver King Beverage Co in Salt Lake City is seeking a reliable operator to run and maintain the can decoration line, applying labels, prints, or coatings according to specs and quality standards.

You will set up equipment for different can sizes, monitor color registration and coating thickness, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and uphold food safety and workplace safety guidelines while coordinating with the production team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in can decoration or packaging lines is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and quality specs.
• Proficient with basic computer software for recordkeeping and monitoring output.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control the decoration machinery used in the can-making process.
• Set up machines for specific can sizes, labels, or prints and adjust for alignment or thickness.
• Monitor production to ensure decoration meets quality standards and take corrective action as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs) and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Follow safety protocols and comply with relevant regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Document production output, machine performance, and any issues; report deviations to supervisor.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth production flow and communicate needs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to optimize the decoration process.
