Job summary

Custom Staffing is seeking a precise Stockroom / Cable Assembly Associate for the 1st shift in Urbana, Ohio. You will prepare wires and components in the cable assembly area, performing tasks that require fine manual dexterity and careful attention to detail.

The role is ideal for hands-on individuals who take pride in high-quality electrical and mechanical assemblies. You will measure, cut, strip wires, tin solder ends, and attach connectors using crimping tools, ensuring consistent, accurate

Qualifications

Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for small parts and wires.
Baseline knowledge of soldering, wire prepping (cutting/stripping), and crimping techniques.
Ability to read basic technical drawings, wiring schematics, and follow structured instructions.
High concentration to ensure correct wire lengths, pin placements, and clean crimps.

Responsibilities

Wire Preparation: Measure, cut, strip, and prep wires and cables per SOPs.
Soldering & Tin: Perform solder tinning and light soldering for secure connections.
Component Crimping: Use crimping tools to attach connectors to wires.
Mechanical Assembly: Assemble wire harnesses and cable systems accurately.
Quality Inspection: Visually inspect assemblies to ensure workmanship quality.
