Job summary

Aerotek in Houston, TX is seeking a Cable Assembler to build large-diameter electrical cable assemblies from start to finish. You will cut, strip, route wires, assemble connectors, and terminate wires into connectors in a focused, air‑conditioned workshop.

The role requires attention to detail, experience with electrical wiring, and the ability to work in a small team with daytime hours and minimal overtime. This is a contract-to-hire position with weekly pay and standard manufacturing benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on cable assembly experience.
• Proficiency in electrical wiring for cable assemblies.
• Experience with crimping tools and related assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Build cable assemblies using established processes and work instructions.
• Cut, strip, and prepare wires for use in cable assemblies.
• Route and run wires accurately according to diagrams and specifications.
• Assemble connectors and terminate wires into connectors with accuracy.
• Perform light mechanical assembly for connector installation on cables.
• Inspect completed cable assemblies and connectors for quality and function.
