Job summary

Burnett Specialists is seeking an experienced Cable Assembly Technician for an on-site, full-time position in Greenspoint / North Houston, TX. The role starts temporary with a potential transition to permanent based on performance and business needs.

You will build and terminate cables and connectors, read detailed drawings, and perform electrical testing and inspections to ensure quality in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build service loops, bridles, and power, control, and instrumentation cable assemblies.
• Read and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, pinout schedules, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Measure, cut, prepare, route, bundle, terminate, and assemble cables and connectors.
• Perform cable preparation and connector terminations according to specifications.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and workmanship.
• Document materials, measurements, inspections, and test results.

Job description

Location: Greenspoint / North Houston, TX Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

What You'll Do

• Build service loops, bridles, and power, control, and instrumentation cable assemblies
• Read and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, pinout schedules, bills of material, and work instructions
• Measure, cut, prepare, route, bundle, terminate, and assemble cables and connectors
• Perform cable preparation and connector terminations according to specifications
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and proper workmanship
• Complete production travelers and document materials, measurements, inspections, and test results
• Perform electrical inspections and testing, including continuity, pinout, and insulation resistance testing as required
• Identify material issues, drawing discrepancies, or quality concerns and communicate them to the appropriate team member
• Assist with final inspection, testing, packaging, and shipment preparation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

What We're Looking For

• Previous hands-on experience with cable assembly, wire harnesses, electrical assembly, service loops, or similar industrial products
• Experience preparing cables and assembling or terminating electrical connectors
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Comfortable using hand tools and equipment associated with cable and electrical assembly
• Ability to accurately measure, document, and inspect completed work
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment
