Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Cable Assembler in Beverly, MA for a contract-to-hire role. You will assemble small electrical cables and connectors at a bench, using a microscope and hand tools, following detailed work instructions and production documentation.

You will read blueprints, perform basic soldering, and prepare components, all while maintaining quality and cleanroom-like standards in a fully onsite setting. This is a weekday daytime schedule with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cable assembly experience at a bench.
• Able to work with very small parts using a microscope or magnifier.
• Experience with basic soldering in electronics or cable assembly.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
• Comfort using hand tools such as tweezers and small assembly tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical cable and connector assembly processes.
• Ability to follow detailed written work instructions accurately.
• Basic inspection skills to visually check parts and assemblies for defects.
• Ability to perform basic math to support measurements and production tasks.
• Familiarity with production environments and meeting quality/throughput goals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small connector parts and cable assemblies at a bench using tweezers and other hand tools.
• Use a microscope to position and secure very small components with precision.
• Follow written work instructions and production documentation to complete assemblies correctly and consistently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams related to electrical cable assemblies.
• Perform basic soldering tasks as required for cable and connector assembly.
• Prepare cables and connectors for assembly, including stripping, crimping, and organizing components.
• Conduct basic visual inspection of assembled parts to verify quality and compliance with standards.
• Use basic math to verify measurements, counts, and production specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with cleanroom-type manufacturing practices.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet output, quality, and schedule requirements.
