Job summary

Russells Technical Products Inc is seeking an assembler for the Custom Cabinet Department. The role involves reviewing drawings, identifying materials, drilling, punching, and assembling cabinet components with various hardware.

You will work with hand and power tools, measure parts, and maintain quality and safety standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and preferred experience in manufacturing or sheet metal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, sheet metal, or construction experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn new processes, tools, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, prints, and work orders.
• Identify required materials and components.
• Drill and punch holes.
• Deburr and smooth sharp edges.
• Grind and clean metal as needed.
• Assemble basic cabinet panels and sections.
• Install brackets, supports, stiffeners, and reinforcements.
• Install hinges, latches, handles, and other hardware.
• Install insulation or insulation supports as required.
• Seal seams and joints.
• Apply caulking or other sealants.
• Label and organize components for assembly.
• Prepare completed cabinet sections for the next department.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment safely.
• Report material shortages, damaged parts, or drawing issues to the appropriate person
• Follow work instructions and quality requirements.
