Job summary

80/20 seeks a Builds Operator to join the Builds team. You will take raw parts and materials and construct customer orders to spec, reading drawings accurately and collaborating with fellow operators to ensure on-time delivery.

Duties include prepping materials, building, assembling, and shipping projects, and assisting with the design, installation, and delivery of exhibits and special projects. You must lift 40 lbs, read a tape measure, and obtain a forklift license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings.
• Strong math skills and understanding of fractions/decimals.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use hand/air/tools.
• Forklift license required or ability to obtain.
• Physical ability to lift 40 lbs for a 10-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings to assemble orders per customer specifications.
• Prep materials for builds (loading fasteners, installing T-slot covers, etc.).
• Build, assemble, and ship completed projects.
• Assist with designing, building, installation, and deliveries of 80/20 exhibits and projects.
• Troubleshoot errors on projects.
• Communicate with other departments, customers and distributors as needed.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
