Qualifications

• Proficiency with oxy-acetylene torch operation and flame control.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders for brazing.
• Strong manual dexterity for precise joints in tight spaces.
• Commitment to safety in hot-work and pressurized gas operations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble coil components before brazing according to orders and drawings.
• Braze copper tubing using oxy-acetylene or induction torch as specified.
• Control flame, filler material, and heat time for leak-free joints.
• Prepare joints by cleaning, aligning, fluxing as required.
• Inspect joints visually and via pressure/leak tests for integrity.
• Identify and repair leaks or weak joints using proper rework techniques.
• Maintain brazing tools and torches, replace tips, and check gas pressures daily.
• Read blueprints and work instructions to determine brazing requirements.
• Record production and quality data in logs or ERP systems.
• Adhere to safety procedures related to open flames and gases.
