Job summary

Apex Geotech Solutions is seeking a brazing operator to join metal components used in geotechnical drilling tool assemblies. You will set up furnaces, prepare parts, perform brazing per procedure, inspect joints, and maintain equipment in a high-temperature manufacturing environment.

The role requires following precise procedures, attention to safety, and documenting production parameters to ensure quality and traceability across assemblies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years brazing or soldering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow technical procedures.
• Experience with furnace brazing is preferred.
• Knowledge of brazing alloys and fluxes for steel and carbide is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brazing furnaces and torch brazing stations.
• Prepare components for brazing including cleaning and flux application.
• Braze assemblies per approved brazing procedure specifications (BPS).
• Inspect brazed joints for soundness and proper filler metal flow.
• Maintain brazing equipment and monitor furnace temperatures.
• Document brazing parameters and production records.
