Job summary

Peak Toolworks is seeking an entry-level Brazer I / Machinist I to perform brazing of metal components and operate basic machine shop equipment. The role requires reading engineering drawings, assembling parts, and inspecting finished items to ensure compliance with specs, while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

The position supports production with brazing operations, machine setup, and quality documentation in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing, machining, metal fabrication, or brazing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow written work instructions.
• Basic understanding of shop mathematics and measuring techniques.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and torch brazing per specifications.
• Set up and operate lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, and grinders.
• Machine components to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints and process sheets.
• Prepare parts for brazing by cleaning, fitting, assembling, and positioning.
• Inspect machined and brazed parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Maintain production, inspection, and quality documentation.
• Identify and report quality issues or safety concerns.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area with 5S/lean principles.
