Job summary

Schaeffler Transmission Systems, LLC in Wooster, OH, is seeking an Operator III - Brazing for the 1st shift. You will prepare machines, tool up, and parameterize per work order while monitoring production and addressing deviations.

Responsibilities include operating complex machinery, inspecting parts, supporting maintenance, and following safety rules. English communication and work authorization in the US are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English.
• Ability to operate complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
