Job summary

Schaeffler Transmission Systems, LLC in Wooster, OH is seeking a manufacturing machine operator responsible for preparing machines, loading tooling, and parametrizing according to work orders. You will monitor production, perform routine checks, inspect parts for defects, and assist maintenance to minimize downtime while strictly following safety rules and PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English.
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for production by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations.
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes.
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol.
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
