Job summary

Schaeffler Transmission Systems, LLC in Wooster, Ohio, seeks an Operator III - Brazing for the 2nd shift to prepare machines, set up tooling, and monitor production with a focus on quality and efficiency.

You will inspect parts, address deviations, and support maintenance while following PPE and safety rules. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference for machine operation experience and US work authorization.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for production by tooling and parametrization per work orders.
• Monitor status and take action on deviations between sequences.
• Operate processes and follow documented procedures.
• Inspect parts, identify defects, and discard nonconforming items.
• Support maintenance to prevent downtime and inspect machines.
• Follow safety rules and use PPE at all times.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Your Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions write clear communication in English
• Ability to operate complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Good visual acuity
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience of operating machines in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with power tools
• Ability to read and interpret Blueprints
