Job summary

Laser Industries Inc. in Fullerton, CA is seeking a skilled Brake Form Operator / Set-up Operator to join its aerospace precision team. You will set up brake forming machines, interpret drawings, and produce formed parts to aerospace standards.

This full-time, in-person role offers a night shift option (2:30pm–11pm), overtime as needed, and a competitive hourly wage of $25–$30, with benefits including 401(k) and medical plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of brake form set-up and operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up brake forming machines for first article and production runs.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine forming sequences and tooling requirements.
• Select, install, and adjust punches, dies, and back gauges based on material type and part geometry.
• Operate brake forming machines to produce precision sheet metal components.
• Verify parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Monitor part consistency and repeatability throughout production runs.
• Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and offsets to maintain quality standards.
• Perform first article inspections and support buy-off requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and safety standards.
• Communicate with supervisors, quality, and engineering to resolve manufacturing or quality issues as needed.
