Job summary

AmSpec Group is seeking a dependable Bottle Prep and Shipping handling Technician for our environmental testing laboratory in Houston. You will prepare bottles, assemble sampling kits, manage packing and shipping, and maintain inventory with precision and timeliness.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and basic computer skills. You will support lab operations and ensure accurate order fulfillment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures.
• Basic computer skills including data entry, email, and ability to learn inventory and shipping systems.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage daily priorities and meet shipping deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sample bottles and sampling kits according to client requests and lab procedures.
• Select bottle types, sizes, quantities, and preservatives for testing.
• Inspect bottles, caps, and seals for cleanliness and expiration before use.
• Assemble kits with bottles, labels, and chain-of-custody forms.
• Pack bottles securely to prevent breakage during transport.
• Prepare shipping labels, coordinate carrier pickups, and track shipments.
• Receive and organize incoming supplies, monitor inventory and expiration dates.
• Maintain accurate bottle preparation, inventory, and shipping records.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
