Job summary

Omni Specialty Packaging in Shreveport, LA, is seeking a Blending A Operator to perform advanced blending operations safely and efficiently while ensuring quality standards are met.

You will operate blending equipment, monitor temperatures, manage tank inventory, and coordinate with team members to achieve production goals. Prior blending or manufacturing experience is preferred, with attention to detail and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in blending, manufacturing, or process operations preferred.
• Ability to apply math skills (logic, algebra, geometry) in a work setting.
• Experience with pumps, process piping, and fluid systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report workplace hazards; promote safety culture.
• Comply with safety policies, procedures, and standards.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings, shift handoffs, and safety training.
• Report safety incidents; complete required documentation when leadership is unavailable.
• Perform blending operations for various product types, including specialty blends.
• Plan and operate blending equipment in coordination with the Shift Lead or Supervisor.
• Communicate with B Operators and team members to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Monitor, maintain, and record tank temperatures for heated components.
• Track and maintain tank inventory; complete transfer documentation.
