Job summary

Sunland Asphalt and Construction, LLC. is seeking an experienced Blade Operator to join our Phoenix, AZ team. You will support our civil/heavy civil division, perform precision grading and site preparation, and work with the Foreman to meet production goals.

You must have 1–3 years of finish blade operation experience and the ability to use GPS technology to set finish grades. Expect a competitive compensation package and a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years finish blade operation experience required.
• Ability to use GPS technology and blue hub and/or stake top to set finish grade.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, specifically blade, to meet production goals.
• Follow Foreman/Superintendent guidance on daily production schedule.
• Maintain a safe job site and report equipment issues to supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with crew, truck drivers, and laborers.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections when driving CMV and assist with equipment maintenance.
