Sunland Asphalt and Construction, LLC. in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an experienced Scraper Operator to join our Civil Construction division. You will operate heavy equipment and work with foremen to meet production goals on asphalt projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years Scraper Operator experience required.
• Ability to speak, read and write English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including scrapers, trucks, rollers, pavers, and loaders to apply asphalt.
• Follow Foreman/Superintendent directions to meet daily production goals.
• Maintain safety and participate in safety meetings and training.
• Coordinate with foreman and crew to ensure safe, traffic-controlled worksites.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; report malfunctions to supervision.
• Provide excellent service to customers and the public; act as front-line company representative.
• Keep jobsite clean and secure; handle tools and general labor tasks as needed.
