Job summary

IKG USA LLC is seeking a Band Saw Operator to set up, operate, and maintain industrial band saw equipment for cutting steel per work orders and specifications. The role focuses on precision, efficiency, and a safe manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints and cut lists, select appropriate blades, adjust machine settings, and confirm dimensions using measuring tools while adhering to quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating industrial band saws or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and cut lists.
• Ability to accurately use measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate band saws according to production schedules and specifications.
• Cut steel bars, grating, plate, and other metal materials to required lengths and tolerances.
• Install blades based on material type and thickness; adjust feed rate and blade speed.
• Load and secure materials using cranes, forklifts, or hoists; monitor safety.
• Inspect finished cuts and verify dimensional accuracy with measuring tools.
