Job summary

Equilibar, located in Fletcher, NC, is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble, test, and document back pressure regulators and subassemblies to engineering specifications and customer requirements.

You will work closely with Engineering and Production teams to communicate results, resolve assembly challenges, and support efficient manufacturing processes while maintaining traceability and a clean work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical degree or certificate in a mechanical field preferred, or 2+ years of assembly experience.
  • Experience assembling precision components using drawings and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, calipers, and common hand tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and maintain safety in a climate controlled shop.
  • Basic computer data entry for production/testing records.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble back pressure regulators, subassemblies, and accessories per drawings and specs.
  • Perform functional and leak testing to verify performance before release.
  • Record production and inspection data for traceability and quality control.
  • Collaborate with Engineering/Production to address testing results and issues.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe work area; monitor inventory levels.
  • Support receiving, inventory, and cross-training across production functions.
