Job summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking an assembly technician to operate saw equipment and assemble motors, drives, and conveyor components in the Stands and Drives area. You will follow work orders, review drawings, and perform quality checks while preparing products for crating or shipping.

The role requires basic math and measurement skills, the ability to read production paperwork, and a commitment to safety and quality. Monday–Friday schedule with a 6:00am–2:30pm shift, located in Hartland, WI.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret production paperwork.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and safe operation of production equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble motors, drives, conveyor components and subassemblies from work orders and drawings.
• Identify and verify parts and materials required for production orders.
• Operate saw equipment to cut materials per production requirements.
• Use hand and power tools and measuring devices to assemble products and verify specifications.
• Inspect completed assemblies and perform quality checks against specs.
• Collaborate with team leads and other departments to resolve issues.
