KDF Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assembly Technician in Northern New Jersey. You will assemble and test mechanical components for sputtering equipment, translating engineering drawings into precise parts with minimal guidance.

Expect responsibilities include following procedures, using power tools, and measuring with calipers and micrometers. The role requires 12 months of related experience, ability to lift 50 lb, and a commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of related experience or completion of a trade school program.
• Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics.
• Strong math skills, including the ability to take precise measurements and perform calculations.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that rise during the assembly process.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work from a stepladder (up to 6 feet in height).
• Ability to maintain hose racks, screw bins, and other production supplies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning work areas using vacuum and brooms.
• Pull, stock, and return parts from inventory as needed.
• Ability to safely handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test mechanical components for sputtering equipment.
• Translate engineering drawings into precision parts and determine assembly methods.
• Follow written procedures, blueprints, and schematics to assemble items.
• Use vacuum techniques and various power tools in assembly operations.
• Inspect assemblies for conformance using calipers, scales, and micrometers.
• Troubleshoot using basic diagnostics and report safety concerns to supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
