Job summary

Lindsay Corporation is seeking a General Assembly Technician in Lindsay, Nebraska. The role involves bench or line assembly to mass-produce metal products, including motors and hydraulic cylinders, with a focus on precision and safety.

Training will cover reading schematics and operating various assembly machines. The ideal candidate will read tape measures and blueprints, use hand tools, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
• Familiarity with caliper gauges and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Operates presses and riveting machines to assemble metal components.
• Assembles bundles, wheel assemblies, and other materials by hand.
• Removes excess material with hand tools to ensure close fits between parts.
• Reads schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and work orders to determine materials and instructions after training period.
• Operates drills, presses, or riveting machines to assist assembly.
• Moves material using hand trucks or forklifts for shipments.
• Adheres to safety rules and maintains clean work area.
• Works overtime and weekends as required to meet customer needs.
