Job summary

Rocketdyne in Mason, OH is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform precision assembly of electro-optical semiconductor components, welding and soldering under magnification; this is a 2nd shift role.

You will follow standard practices to operate leaded equipment, assemble mechanical and/or electrical components for customer deliverables, and verify use of the most updated procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 6+ years relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary with 2+ years related experience.
• 2+ years proficiency with Microsoft Office and email.
• Ability to read and follow drawings and work instructions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience using basic hand tools.
• Experience using a microscope for long periods.
• J-STD solder experience.
• Must be a United States citizen.

Responsibilities

• Complete solder processes and assemble components.
• Configure cabling and wires per procedures.
• Assemble mechanical/electrical customer deliverables.
• Verify updated procedures are followed.
• Follow 6S industry standards.
• Perform torque training and hardware inspection.
• Crimp cables using a range of tools.
• Guide peers to complete daily tasks.
