Job summary

Emerson is seeking a hands-on manufacturing associate in the United States. You will perform essential CNC-related setup and production tasks, ensuring quality and compliance with safety rules.

The role requires reading technical specs, using precision gauges, and maintaining 5S standards across the work area. Associates degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with 2–3 years CNC experience in mills, lathes, or grinders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude with interest in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical specs and instructions.
• Use of precision measurement tools and gauges.
• Shop math and handbook formula calculations.
• Associates degree or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
• 2–3 years CNC machinery experience (mills, lathes, grinders) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as priority and comply with Safety Rules.
• Align with and maintain areas to 5S standards.
• Segregate non-conforming materials per work instructions.
• Maintain equipment with daily cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Produce quality parts/assemblies and reduce non-conformance costs.
• Perform testing, paperwork, quality records, and documents.
• Align with all safety and work instructions.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping and restock as needed.
• Reduce lead times and optimize production toward make-to-order.
• Maintain competitive costs for assembly including labor, material, tooling, inventory.
