Job summary

SmallBiz Staffing, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented assembly technician to join our local production team in Crossville, TN. You will assemble mechanical and electromechanical components, build wiring harnesses, and assemble small engine parts following blueprints and BOMs.

You will use hand tools and test equipment, perform in-process quality checks, and maintain a clean 5S workstation while meeting daily production quotas. Previous experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in assembly or production environments.
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Basic math skills for measurements and tolerances.
• Strong manual dexterity and steady hands.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components per blueprints and BOMs.
• Prepare wiring harnesses from schematics; cut, strip, crimp, route wires.
• Perform soldering, terminal crimping, and connector assembly.
• Assemble small engine components per technical docs.
• Install fasteners, gaskets, seals, and small hardware.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and functional tests.
• Maintain clean 5S workstation and report defects.
