Job summary

ERA Industries, Inc. in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking an assembler to join our production team. You will assemble machined components, verify quality, and document work in inspection plans and ERP systems to ensure traceability.

The role requires blue print reading, use of hand tools, and adherence to FOD and NAS standards, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement of processes.

Qualifications

• Trained in blue print reading.
• Trained on FOD and its effect on product.
• Competent in NAS and NASM, MA, plus customer hardware specs.
• 2 years experience using basic hand tools (Allen wrenches, torque wrenches, screw drivers, helicoils installation tools).
• Competent in bushings assembly via press fit or heating and using press or Bridgeport as needed to perform such assemblies.
• Assemble multiple machined components per drawings or in-process requirements for form and fit.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hardware and components in a safe, productive and quality manner.
• Document work on in-process inspection plans, production log, router and ERP system for traceability and quality records.
• Keep clean and organized work area.
• Communicate any concerns related to production, safety and quality to supervisor.
• Look to continuous improvement of processes and understand contribution to QMS.
• Willing to work in a team environment.
• Use calibrated measuring equipment and report if not in calibration.
• Ensure epoxy’s, adhesives, primer and paint are documented and within shelf life criteria.
• Handle inspection equipment and parts to avoid damage.
• Support other departments as needed (inventory control, shipping/receiving, etc.).
• Maintain a positive attitude and punctuality.
• Be aware of quality policies, safety and ethics.
