Job summary

ALIGN PRECISION in North Plains, OR is seeking an entry-level to mid-level assembler to perform basic and intricate electronic/electro-mechanical assembly on prototype and production hardware per workmanship standards and MIL/client specs.

You will read wiring lists and drawings, use drills, presses, and hand tools, and help develop assembly methods. This role may train others and ensures quality documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of relevant experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong hand-eye coordination
• Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of aircraft manufacturing, instructions and blueprints
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Mastery of basic math
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Understand and obey safety requirements
• Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris

Responsibilities

• Determine detail/hardware locations per blueprints and mylars
• Set-up and operate drill press, pneumatic drills, u-squeezes, hand squeezes, rivet pullers
• Set up countersinks per fastener requirements and shop router
• Monitor and work with very tight tolerances
• Drill holes and attach brackets, hinges, or clips to secure installation or fasten subassemblies per blueprint and customer specifications
• Install units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly using hand and power tools
• Bolt, screw, or rivet accessories to fasten, support, or hang components
• Locate and mark reference points and holes using jigs and measuring instruments
• Inspect and test installed units, parts, and equipment for fit and performance
• Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures
• Complete all required training and quality documentation
• Perform preventative maintenance on assembly presses and tooling
• Verify part and hardware count to shop router
• Occasional overtime may be required
• Other duties as assigned
