Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking an Assembler to join our on-site production team in a fast-paced environment. You will assemble corrugated and plastic products, follow detailed instructions, and conduct quality checks to ensure standards are met.

Responsibilities include lifting up to 50 pounds, operating pallet jacks, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while meeting production deadlines. Pre-employment screenings are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; experience in production/assembly is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, work packets, and product specs.
• Able to perform repetitive assembly and packaging tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Able to safely use basic production and material-handling equipment including box cutters and pallet jacks.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds; follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, stuff, tape, and prepare corrugated and plastic products per specifications.
• Read and follow assembly instructions, product kits, and production documentation.
• Conduct quality checks on completed products and inspect teammates’ work as needed.
• Lift, palletize, and prepare products for storage or shipment.
• Safely operate pallet jacks to move materials and pallets.
• Use stretch wrap to secure pallets and cut materials as required.
• Assist with hand-unloading trucks and stacking incoming materials on pallets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; dispose of production waste properly.
• Follow all procedures and report defects or shortages to a supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
